The Objective:
Create a bold, globally resonant marketing moment to announce blink-182’s world tour, capitalizing on Tom DeLonge’s return to the band and the anticipation surrounding new music, while reigniting fan excitement across generations.
The Approach:
We developed a multi-layered, humor-driven campaign rooted in the band’s irreverent personality. The rollout centered on a comedic tour announcement video, supported by high-visibility stunts including skytyping activations, hand-painted murals by local graffiti artists, social-first media drops to radio partners, and sign spinners at key local events in major U.S. cities. Each element was designed for organic fan sharing, press pickup, and real-world surprise - creating a campaign that felt both playful and impossible to ignore.
The Results:
The campaign delivered immediate and overwhelming demand, with every global date quickly reaching 100% sell-through. Fan response drove an unprecedented expansion of the tour, resulting in multiple additional shows added across markets worldwide and cementing the announcement as one of the band’s most successful tour launches to date.
